The Sacrament of Confession Reconciles Us with God

Seek the sacrament of confession, so that the wounds of our hearts are healed by the Lord

on Tuesday morning, 17 November, Deacon Nelsinho Corrêa, on the Canção Nova TV morning show “Smiling for Life”, invited us to ask God for a contrite heart and to reconcile with him through the sacrament of confession.

The Word today for us is 1 John 1.8 -10:
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. “

O sacramento da Confissão

SIN has consequences in our life. We run the risk of looking at others and see their error, but we don’t look at our sins. The sacrament of confession is the grace of God for us, because when we stand before the priest with a repentant heart , we are washed of our faults. Whoever confesses receives forgiveness from the Lord.

If we say that we have no sin, then we lie to ourselves. Before the priest, with a sincere heart and repented of our faults, we are forgiven.

Our harshness hurts people, and the pain is felt greatly by who receives whatever whatever is us acts rudely. Sorry for all our sins, let us open our hearts to receive God’s mercy.

It’s time to get ready to enter the year of mercy. Let’s start today with the sacrament of confession and ask God to have mercy on us. Repentance takes sin away from our heart. Only love, which is poured on us on confession, ends with a multitude of sins.
