Sins and weaknesses need to be constantly combated.

“Keep your heart strong and be constant, tilt your ear and hosts intelligent words, afobes in annoyance.” (Eclo 2.2)

Do you know right now what is the sin that has prevailed in your life?

Do you know also that defect has prevailed in you?

I have learned recently that it is very important to me and to you to have the answers to these questions above. These answers could help us, and in our personal path of conversion to God;and still help us to free our feet from paths that lead us away from God!

There are sins in our lives that predominate, that persist in coming back, and I confess the same sins; We ended up falling again into it one hour or another ….
This experience of not being able to conquer a certain sin, is one in which you need to learn some very important lessons:

First Lesson:

– The first and most important lesson is that you, by your own strength can’t overcome any sin … You need to remind yourself constantly that overcome a sin or sin is always an action of the grace of God in you. It seems to be very simple to understand. But the truth is, when you understand that, you also understands that if you abandon your prayer life you fall again. If there is a situation of sin in your life that you haven’t managed to overcome, this also means that you can’t help but to seek God through prayer! Do not leave behind your prayer life because of sins committed, that is a great temptation. This is a strategy of the devil to cause you to give up forever. Falls, weaknesses and our prayer life must walk together!
It’s just you think: If I’m constantly in a particular sin, and to overcome it I need God; how can I leave behind prayer if it is the most effective means of God acting in me? I think the first and most important lesson is this one.

Second Lesson:

– The second lesson I learn when I can determine which sins and that defects have prevailed on me is that I can also identify other limitations that appear in my life as a result of these sins and shortcomings. For example, if your sin adultery, consequently if you walk away from God because you find that you are not worthy to stand with him, you will be more angry with people and situations that surround you, you will be indifferent to your spouse, to your home, to your children, you will feel a fear inside and more. …
Another example is if I identify in me a great feeling of rejection: When I feel that I think people are trying to put aside or dismissing me, that makes me want to excel in some things that are around me. So I’m beginning to be more proud, pride begins to emerge in my reactions, because I have a feeling of rejection inside of me and I can’t overcome it.
So we need to be vigilant because sins and limitations that insist on coming back, always drag us to other sins and shortcomings.

Lesson Three:

–The third lesson important that I learn when I find out sins and limitations that prevail in my life, I can then get the virtue opposite to them in order to win them.
This is very important when we detected concrete way in which there are situations that we can’t overcome.
Remember that years ago I made this experience. I couldn’t hear what the person was telling me all the way, and I began to speak, give my opinion and everything else … I detected that there was this limitation on me, and it was a limitation, so how  can I overcome it? I started to practice listening more and only talk when the person was finished talking … And I put a piece of paper on the computer monitor where I worked writing: “NEED TO KNOW TO LISTEN”. And every time someone sought to present or discuss a problem, I remembered the paper and did the exercise to listen more ….
So I did and still do a lot of things about my day to day, about the things you’ll discover in me.
This lesson is important because when we aren’t able to unroot a sin or a limitation in us, we do the exercise to conquer evil through a virtue opposite it. With that one does not focus on the evil itself, but on virtue we need practice to overcome such evil!
So, today I advise you to try this!
