Cachoeira Paulista–Brazilian based Catholic Community Canção Nova remembers Mother Angelica the founder of the US Catholic Media Organization: Eternal Word Television Network. In an article published on their news page with ACI Digital, the EWTN news agency based in Latin America, Canção Nova remembered the American Nun who became a Catholic Television Leader in the United States. EWTN CEO Michael Warsaw demonstrated that Mother Angelica and Canção Nova founder Monsignor Jonas Abib shared the understanding that all was done under divine providence. Canção Nova is not affiliated with EWTN.

In a Portuguese language video from the nightly news program, Canção Nova gave tribute to this Catholic communications pioneer, who suffered a stroke in 2001.
