To arrive at holiness, we cannot be superficial
“Seeing then that all these things are to be dissolved, what manner of people ought you to be in holy conversation and godliness?” (2 Peter 3:11 DR).
We should have a Holy life, and live a Holiness which touches our life. This is not puritanism, it is not assuming attitudes and produced gestures , is not speaking an affected false language full of terms that are not common in everyday life. Sometimes people think that being Holy is this.
Holiness means to be holy in work, at school, in your dating and relationship with the brothers and sisters; to be holy as well on weekends, and not living a double life, by being “Saint” during the week, but not living Holiness on Saturday or on Sunday.
The Lord teaches us that the sanctity of life is not produced, it is not made of gestures or biblical parables. To be holy is to live a Holy life.
