We Were Created for Heaven

We live in expectation that heaven is ours!

The meditated Word is in Romans 8:18-25
“I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us.n
For creation awaits with eager expectation the revelation of the children of God;
for creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it,o in hope
that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God.p
We know that all creation is groaning in labor pains even until now;
and not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we also groan within ourselves as we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.
For in hope we were saved. Now hope that sees for itself is not hope. For who hopes for what one sees?
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait with endurance.

At the beginning of the Christian Church already there was talk about the second coming of Jesus, as he had ascended to heaven.

From time to time, there are many prophets who announce the final coming of the Lord. We have no doubt that the founder of Canção Nova, Monsignor Jonas Abib, is speaking prophetically, when he announced to us and convened us for the return of Christ. The certainty is that if He does not come to us first, we’re going to go to Him.

It’s time for us to reveal ourselves as children of God, as children of the light. St. Paul, in his words, was preparing a community for the coming of Jesus. Today, we are also prepared for this second coming.

What reasons make us suffer? Emotional, family or diseases? This word is for us, because it comes to us in our sufferings. Paul says: “I think that the sufferings of the present time have no proportion to the glory that shall be revealed in us.” Whatever our suffering – which cannot be measured – let us not falter, but let us persevere in the Lord.

You must be in keeping with the Canção Nova in these recent times. As we have suffered. We’re doing a siege of Jericho for the health and recovery of our seminarian William, victim of the van accident that involved some members of the community and led to the death of one of our brothers. Our hearts cry, suffer, but we believe in heaven!

From time to time, we are tested, but we must not be discouraged. Let us persevere! In the situations that we live, we reveal ourselves as children of God.

The creation has been groaning in us. Canção Nova has passed those in labor. God’s children have suffered, but it is necessary for us to reveal ourselves His children. Let’s return to this characteristic.

This waiting for our encounter with the Lord, what is our participation in this process? Taking up and revealing ourselves as sons and daughters of God.

The third person of the Holy Trinity is in us and want us to keep ourselves holy. Having a radical change is not an impossible mission, as the first fruits of the Holy Spirit are in us. It is possible to be Saints!

As a mother who is eagerly waiting the birth of her son, within us there is an expectation to reveal ourselves as children of God.

Are We channeling our faith? The man makes himself do projects, but the God makes them happen. What we have dreamed? What are our projects? Our faith and hope are in our projects.

All built on Canção Nova done by Mgr Jonas was moved by hope. He entrusted to God his designs and God brought them forth.

In all the plans we make, our first priority is Heaven. We are sure that if He don’t come, we’re going to meet him. This meeting will happen one way or another.

Heaven is part of our plans. We hope Heaven and work for him. We reveal ourselves as children of God and everything on our side is going to change, because nature is waiting to see our demonstration.
