Let the Fires of Heaven Ignite Our Souls

Let the fires of Heaven fire within us love, passion for God, for their things, by service

I came to cast fire on the Earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! “ (Luke 12, 49).

pe_rogerJesus came to launch a lot of fire in our midst, and how we need this fire from on high, fire from heaven and the spirit!

The fire has as a function to consume that which has no use, but it also has the Mission igniting of animating the spirit inside of us that, often, is put out by the circumstances of life. The fire of charity, love and good works; the fire of motivation to live, to evangelize, to serve and be available to the other.

Brothers, as we need that inner fire burning our souls and our hearts!

Don’t think the fire from heaven is that fire of straw, that “little fire” that when you light it up draws attention, but when you blow on it, it goes off.

The fire of Jesus is the fire of the spirit, is the consistent and persistent fire, which floods and ignites our soul, for it to have force, so that our soul has a taste for God and for his things.

A fire not cared for nor cultivated, in which we leaving with the winds of this world go blowing upon it this fire decreases and can go out and be a little fire you don’t see or feel.

You need to let the flame of heaven take care of our heart. It’s nothing frantic things, those momentary enthusiasms. We’re talking about the fire of the soul that has a taste for doing things. First taste the things of God, because when we are burned by the fire of the spirit we love to read the word of God, we have a taste for Eucharist, we love to be with God, even if we are tired. Here are two different things, because fatigue is physical and spiritual exhaustion.

The fire comes from heaven is to consume this fatigue, this discouragement, that often takes hold of our heart.

The fire comes from heaven, creates in us the desire to serve, to love, even if we encounter different circumstances. Even if we are disappointed  in many situations, even if things don’t work out the way we wanted. The fire raises up, creates, re-creates, redoes things and that’s why you come to launch this fire.

“You think I came to bring peace on the Earth? On the contrary, I say to you, I have come to bring Division “(Luke 12, 51). The Division that Jesus came to bring with this fire is to burn what won’t let us live the will of God, to burn what in us is mundane, garbage, old and damaged, to stay with what is good.

Let the fire burn in what doesn’t serve us, and burst into flames inside us the love, passion for God, by the service; love for the family, for the mission. Love, even, by what we do, and to do it with love, because what becomes  very tiresome, sorry, exhausting and takes our inner peace.

Let God’s fire inside of you, so that in its work, the mission entrusted to you, you have a lot of fire within you to accomplish what it takes!

God bless you!
