What Can Sin Do to Me?

Sin leaves a negative mark on our souls

Adoração ao Santíssimo Sacramento
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sin is a fault against reason, truth and right conscience, it is an offense against God (1849-1850 CCC). Sin leaves a negative mark in us, it’s like a stain on a garment. Whoever owns a House knows that a stain is almost impossible to remove. So I can compare this to sin.

When we sin, this mark remains in us, it takes our liberty, imprisons us and tie us down. There’s only one way to free ourselves of this spiritual dirt: The Sacrament of Confession.

Confession “get stains” out of the soul, we are washed clean of the marks of sin and restored by the power of the love and mercy of God.

My brothers, if there is something to confess, please seek a priest. Don’t let enslaved by evil.

Your brother,
