Let us apply ourselves to live the word of Jesus

Santa Missa com Monsenhor Jonas Abib

Jesus will be within us when we apply ourselves to live his word

If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my father will love him, and we will come and make him our address” (John 14, 23).

How Beautiful: “If anyone loves me, He will keep my word”. Loving Jesus is not just saying: “Jesus, I love you”, I don’t even need to say this. Loving Jesus is keeping his word, observing it and take it seriously.

We love Jesus when we trust him. And the confidence that we can give him is to keep in our hearts and in our lives everything he taught us how to live, because His words cannot be straws in the wind, because they are important to our lives.

Loving Jesus is loving his commandments, his laws, decrees and all that He teaches us to live. Loving Jesus is to give of myself with all my heart, soul, and with all I am to apply myself in his word.

Don’t ignore the word of God, you are not a simple spectator or hearer of the word, but be the one who listens, meditates, chews on the word and says: “This is Word that I want to live. It is that word that I want to keep. It is the word that I want to live in everything I do and I carry in my life. “

Don’t be simply a listener, but love deeply Jesus, saving and putting into practice his words, putting into your life what he taught us.

If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my father will love him, and we will come.” Where is God? We know that He is in the Church, is in the midst of us, but He will be within us when we apply ourselves to live his word.

Make sure that when you silence your heart and apply yourself to meditate on the word, the Father, Jesus and the spirit are with us. When, in our everyday life, we have to die to ourselves to put into practice the word of Jesus, we are not alone, He is with us, vibrantly with us, inspiring, illuminating us, guarding us and preserving us in the fight against sin. But if I make the choice to live another word, it’s like I was saying: “I don’t want to live with you! I want to live with myself. “

God wants to live, live and walk with us. He walks and lives with us when we keep His Word!

God bless you!
