Mold Me and I Will Be Better

Dom João Inácio Müller celebra missa de Ordenação Diaconal no Santuário do Pai das MisericórdiasThe Lord wants us to shape and transform

God the Father sent us His Son Jesus to show us that through obedience and the struggle for truth and holiness we can reach the joy of the resurrection. Therefore, we can never be discouraged; we must seek in Christ the strength to overcome all tribulations.

“My son, do not despise the correction of the Lord, do not be discouraged when He rebukes you; for the Lord corrects whom He loves and punishes whom he accepts as his son ” (Heb. 12: 5-6).

The process of building a new vessel is not easy, neither for the clay nor for the potter, because every work of creation goes through its transformations. The potter must stir, break, alter; and the clay, in turn, must accept these interventions.

The same is true of us: God wants new vessels for us, but for this to happen, we must obey Him, even if we often do not understand why. Let us pray, that the Lord may make us docile to His holy will:

“Lord Jesus, because we are made of clay, mold us according to Your infinite love and Your incomparable goodness. Give us the grace to seek Thy face, and thus we shall be better, for a person is fulfilled only when he reveals his Lord! “
