Before the Impossible Cry Out: Come Holy Spirit

When the angel announced to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and give birth to a son and would give him the name Jesus: “Mary asked the angel: How will this be done, for I do not know man? The angel responded: The Holy Spirit will descend over you, and the power of the Almighty will overshadow you.” (Luke 1:34-35)

This, for the Most Holy Virgin, was something impossible, but what is impossible to us is possible to God. The Lord taught us that, before the impossible to us, we need to cry out to the Holy Spirit and let him drive us  in total abandonment, as Our Lady did, upon accepting the will of God in her voice and crying out: “Behold the servant of the Lord, may it be done in me according to your word.” (Lk 1:38)

Today, before whatever situation, simple or complex, we cry out: Come, Holy Spirit!

Jesus, I trust in You!
