Desiring “peace” [shalom] to someone was a Jewish salutation used both on arrival and departure. The world offers many forms of “peace”, different from those presented and desired by Jesus.
We all need and should be carriers and builders of this gift. Where we may we should spread the peace coming from Christ that is different from the peace of the world.
The peace that comes from God is long lasting and efficient. The peace arising from Jesus Christ is born from a love that is stronger than death, because He died and resurrected for us. Christ is our peace!
