My Lord and My God!

We can say, for various reasons, that St Thomas is the symbol of unbelief. But actually, he is a man of faith.

Often, we hear the expression: “I only believe what I see!”. This attitude is becoming stronger in us, ie, we are becoming more materialistic, and only believe if we play or we see certain things. Every time we need something, we seek God, right? But when what we want is not realized, we set Him aside.

The first time Jesus appeared, after having risen, Thomas was not with them. Today, we see that must be proven, but we do not make it easy.

With the advancement of media, we can talk to someone across the world. In fact, the desire we have is to have such a person with us. So one day, for example, we leave home to go to a prayer group, we forget the Bible, we do not go back to get it. But if we forget the phone, we return immediately. It seems that without it we would be naked, no?

This has become increasingly strong between us, because we always want to believe. St. Thomas did not believe in what the disciples spoke because he had not touched in Jesus. For behind all this, we see that people want to have the other, make sure they are in their hands, owning them.

Today we increasingly bring virtual reality, into our life, ie, what we have in our hands, we throw away. That’s why St Thomas wanted to “dismiss” the appearance of Jesus.

When we realize that a person does not suit us or we feel persecuted by him on the social networks, we simply discard him, ie stop being a [virtual] friend.

The appearance of Jesus to his disciples was a mystery, but we humans have trouble believing in mysteries, it is the essence of human touch or demonstration of this mystery.

We’re wasting time on wanting to have Jesus. Often we deceive ourselves or we are surprised, but when we just hope things happen, we are in a spiritual accommodation. We need to go further, take steps and to go to situations we can not see, but we step in faith.

What is your despair? What do you ask throughout your life and that did not happen? If we always live in hopes of a miracle and not engage in what God wants for us, we just lose time and opportunity to increase our faith in Him.

We need God and wait for signs. If you need the Lord, go after Him! Pray and believe in what He can do for you. Leave comfort and wait for a miracle.

Stay tuned to what God wants to reveal to you. Go in search of Him and make a new experience.
