People who Err Are Not Errors

We are fruits of our choices, and as in the Word of God says, “what one has sown, that is what he will reap” (cf Gal 6.7) Therefore, the only way to harvest a happy ending is sowing good choices. There is no other way. People may even find that you have no more way out yourself, which is the proverbial basket case, a delay in  life. But it’s up to you believe what they say about you or to have the courage to stand up, shake it off, turn around and prove to yourself that you were born to be happy. You can take the role of leading actor or supporting your own life story. The choice is yours!

We are fruits of our choices, but we depend entirely of God’s grace. In fact, some choose to opt for what He would choose for our lives. But just where would that famous “free will” be that we talk about if we could only choose the choices of God?

First, we must understand what freedom is . To clarify this question, we will ask for “help”  from the Youth Catechism of the Catholic Church, the “YouCat”, an item that can not be missing in our backpack. Let’s see what it says: “Freedom is the possibility, given by God, to be able to act fully on one own; whoever is free does not act on another’s determination. God created us as free people and wants our freedom so that we can choose, with all our heart, for good, for the highest good, that is, God. The more we practice the good, the freer we become. [286]

“A person is free when he or she says ‘yes’ to good, when no addiction or habit prevents pressure to choose and practice what is right and good”

All right! But you may be wondering: “Freedom does not consist precisely in being able to choose evil, does it? The YouCat also help in this question. “Evil is only seemingly advantageous because opting for it only apparently frees us. Evil does not give happiness; it steals from us the true good; binds us to nothing and eventually destroys all our happiness. We can see this reality in addiction: it is when humans sells their freedom to something that looks good. In fact, however, a person becomes a slave. A person is free when he say ‘yes’ to good, when no addiction or habit prevents pressure to choose and to practice what is right and good. The choice is always a good option for God. “ [287]

In other words, freedom is not to do everything we want, but to do what you should choose. Therefore, we are free to choose whatever we want, even to make the choices for God.

Happiness is the result of constant good choices. To reach it there is much struggle, a lot of sweat and hard work will be necessary. How do you react to falls you may suffer in life? How do you deal with your failures and frustrations? Undoubtedly seeking the answers to these questions takes patience, no?

Sadly, there is no magic lamp, which you only need to rub, place an order and go!All done! It’s real life, my friend, there is no magic, there is attitude. You need to make the decision not to stop in error and not change the situation.

The ‘X’ of the matter lies in learning how to administer problems, do not, under any circumstances, let the opposite happen. If you do not master your problems, they will dominate you. And I do not need to tell where this is going.
