This is a great danger to our lives because we are endangering our salvation. Many allowed their faith to be undermined by secularism and relativism and now they live a lukewarm faith.
We can also experience a pharisaical laxity; fooling people by donning “masks”; we live vs what we are, pretending to be a saint (a), but in fact we are being hypocritical. We forget that nothing escapes the eyes of God. A lukewarm faith of appearances leads one to hell.
We know that God is merciful. But mercy only works in our lives, when we allow ourselves act. The slack person will say, “the day of judgment, Lord! I Preached, healed, freed, sang … “And the Lord will answer him: I don’t know you, infidel!
I claim the Holy Spirit to cleanse me of all defilement of relativism and grant me the strength to not be dragged by secularism into the world by living with a lax conscience that leads to hell.
Lord have mercy and give me your Grace!
