The mercy of God comes to take us from the path of death

Let us pray that God really get many of us of the ways of death, the valleys and dark desires

And the Lord said unto Moses: ‘ I see that this is a hard hearted nation’ ” (Exodus 32, 9).

While Moses was on the sacred mountain and there he was growing in intimacy with the Lord, God himself ordered him to come down, to come back to the middle of the people, because he learned that they deviated from the path of life and indulged corruption, idolatry and all kinds of sin.

The people turned away from the way of the Lord, the way of life; and preferred the way of death. It is God himself who commanded Moses to meet those people. The hardest thing was that they had hard heads.

We know that being “stubborn” is being very stubborn, it is when the person puts something in their head and no one can get them to think in any other way. An angel can come down from heaven, touch him, but he or she does not change his mind.

We’re not a hard headed people! We are not headstrong men and women, proud and closed. Do we not have convictions?  Are we not mature in life? Yes, but we can’t just shut ourselves down, because we’re often may be doing evil or even sinning and not realizing it.

The head has blind eyes when it does not remain open, when it does not allow itself to be corrected by God, by the brothers and sisters and by the word, there is the risk of becoming blind and missing the way is much larger.

That people didn’t realize what that were doing to themselves, the devious paths they were on and miscreants with whom they were living. So Moses went down to them to say they were going the way of death.

See what a wonderful thing: it is Moses who extends his hands to the heavens and begs God for mercy on behalf of His people. The people had not provided even the condition to listen to God, but Moses himself commiserated, prayed, interceded, asked God, in his infinite and immense mercy, that he does not allow them to fall into the very evil caused by their own grave that they dug for themselves.

You know, my brothers, we always find people to convict, judge and bury whoever is already dead, to play in the dirt with whoever is living their life totally wrong. But we need to be intercessors, petitioners asking that God really take many off of the path of death, from the dark valley and dark desires. We need to intercede for all those who have gone astray from the path of life.

Our role is not to condemn or judge, but to intercede; to be one who asks, asks God: “Lord, help your people! Lift your people! “.

Dad and mom, don’t give up on your children. Don’t give up on each other; on the contrary,  beg, intercede with God for his infinite mercy to help those who are in the way of sin and death.

God bless you!
