We Count on God's Strength to Conquer Sins

Amidst our weaknesses, is the power of God that will give us victory over our sins.

Márcio Mendes, on the program Sorrindo PraVida  [smiling at life], guided by the Holy Scriptures, invites us to ask God’s strength, with which we will overcome our sins and shortcomings. Check out his message:
The word is in 2nd Corinthians 12:7-10 (D-R):

“And lest the greatness of the revelations should exalt me, there was given me a sting of my flesh, an angel of Satan, to buffet me. [8] For which thing thrice I besought the Lord, that it might depart from me. And he said to me: My grace is sufficient for thee; for power is made perfect in infirmity. Gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.(The Douay Rheims version is the one closest to the original Portuguese citation.)

Contemos com a força de Deus para vencer

Are we allowing pride into our heart?

In his word, the Lord warns us that pride takes a House to ruin and leads us to walk a path away from God. We need to keep watch that pride does not take care of our heart.

God, full of wisdom, allows suffering to come upon us so that the brightness of our conquest does not bury us. How many temptations come upon us to take peace away from us.

The Lord uses to the attacks of the evil one in our favor. He did not create us to sin, but by the Devil’s envy, evil entered the world. Whoever is a child of God comes to the Father; However, whoever is the son of the evil one is on the way of pride, because the devil is the father of the proud.

We count on the grace of God to overcome sin

Live the experience of God that He alone is enough. We touch the bottom of our weakness and let the Lord be our resource. The Father knows us and knows how to act to lead us to freedom. We proclaim the name of Jesus, on this day, for all the evil onslaught of Satan is kicked out of our homes.

When a family falls, society falls with it. A society without family or with broken families is weak and spiritually dominated. We must always count on Divine Providence.

How many have been whining, complaining of life and the suffering. When we touch our limits, we realize how fragile we are. Stop begging the pity of people and sit in the presence He who can do all in our lives.

All that we live and confront, God converts to our good. Learn to always count on the Father, because he never fails. Let us turn to the Lord, and let us proceed. If we can’t continue on our own, let’s continue asking the help of the Holy Spirit of God, for He will open our eyes and help us trust in the hands of the Father.

We leave all in God’s hands

It is in our weakness that we become strong. What are our greatest sins or weaknesses? Understand that the temptations always will accompany us, but we count on the help of the Lord, for he gives us the strength to overcome them.

The bigger or worse the situation we live in, let us put ourselves even more in the hands of Christ and not let go. After suffering comes joy. With God we can do more, without him it’s just pain.

The evil encounters  defeat when we are safe in the hands of God. Let the Father in strengthen us, for the Lord is and always will be our greatest resource. He never abandons us.
