The search for good leads us to a greater intimacy with God
There is a lot of talk about winning freedom these days. The Word of God tells us: “If Christ sets us free, we will be truly free” (Jn 8,36). True freedom consists in the ability to seek the practice of good; it is the capacity of man to make choices and it is decision making through life. The time for decision has come: let us be friends with God.
God invites us today and, at all times, to always decide for the good: good of all, good of men to God and good of Him to us. The choice for good, means giving up all the forces of death within us means to want and do good to all people, including those who do not like us.
The search for good leads us to a greater intimacy with God: God’s friends are men of peace. With this, I do not mean to say that we will not suffer, but God comes to our rescue fulfilling what He Himself said in the Gospel: “Come to me all you who are weary because I am meek and humble of heart, my burden is soft and light “ (Mt 11: 28-30). Let God, through the decision to do good, bring peace to your heart.
