The Storm

If you want to avoid the storm, do not love that which is proscribed. (St. Augustine)

Upon reading this phrase at the bottom of my schedule today, I called myself to the attention of this phrase of the great doctor St. Augustine, Doctor of the Church.

We live at times tormented because we insist on loving that which we cannot. Or at the same time, we raise the bar as they say to stay with some things that we should not for pleasure alone. Therefore, we give an opening to the torments of our life. Much of our anguish and depression perhaps are caused by this dynamic. We need be aware of this and fight to rid ourselves of that which is turning our lives into a great torment. We are in this moment actively able to be open to this awareness in LENT. It is a Time for reflection and to return to our interior and obtain correction of our errors, vices, attitudes that instead of bringing us life, they bring us death.

Our eyes should or at least may be focused on the great mystery of our faith: The Resurrection of Christ!
And times to look inside and to abandon our torments. We remain and are tormented because we want to be. Let us eliminate ourselves from the works of darkness and let us walk to the LIGHT . . . CHRIST
