Time of Silence and Prayer

Let’s start this day asking the Lord’s the grace to exercise silence, of being slow to speak and ready to listen, especially ready to hear the voice of God in all situations, even in times of persecution and struggle, as the Prophet Elijah, amid a controversial and difficult situation, listened and obeyed the Lord’s voice promptly:

“And the word of the Lord came to Elijah saying,’Depart hence and take direction from the east. Will hide thyself by the torrent of Caritas, which is across the Jordan “(I Kings 17.2-4).

The Lord gave Elijah a concrete direction in the situation he was living. He wants to also direct us at all times throughout this day, it is enough to be silent that God may speak to us.

This should be our attitude: “Speak, Lord, your servant listens.”

Jesus, teaches us silence in order that we may listen to His voice, with clarity.

Jesus I trust in You!
