God pours his mercy over our lives!

Márcio Mendes, on  the program Sorrindo Pra Vida [Smiling at Life ], talks about the mercy of God, who reaches our hearts and transforms our lives. Check out:

The word is meditated on Micah 7:18-19
Who is a God like you, who removes guilt
and pardons sin for the remnant of his inheritance;
Who does not persist in anger forever,
but instead delights in mercy,
And will again have compassion on us,
treading underfoot our iniquities?
You will cast into the depths of the sea all our sins;

Deus não age pela ira, mas sim pela misericórdia

Out of love for us, God passes over our faults He is not angry, because he prefers to mercy.

The sin is not us, however, it does not leave us. Once having sinned, the Lord never tires of forgiving us. Even if you don’t see the the way out, he didn’t give up on us.

God will win in our life

If God puts Himself in our reach and forgives us of our bad actions. What paths have we trodden? What has taken us in the right direction? Why we are sad and worn out? Who loves us does not wants us to live in error.

We don’t want to Sin? Flee from what we takes us from God. Sin is the result of the evil one, but God is our protection and refuge.

This world is dangerous! The spiritual world is far more dangerous without the presence of God.

The confession is salvation!

After a disagreement with someone, we run the risk of facing the person and we are afraid if that person will forgive us or not. God can’t wait to transform our life. He forgives all our faults. When we confess our sins, they are wiped out.

What a human enemy against us?

When we face a human enemy, he does everything to try and destroy us. Similarly, the enemy of God also wants to destroy us and the tricks that he uses are heavy.

Purifies our soul’s confession

When we wash our souls before God, there is nothing and no one who can accuse us. When we confess, we are covered with the blood of Jesus! Today, washing in His blood is to take possession of the forgiveness that He gives us.

We want to be released? Let’s start with the confession. Jesus did not come to take away sin, but to give us life. Sometimes we have the feeling that we’re lifeless, so he is ready to give us a new life.

The Lord wants to make us able to not sin anymore! By winning over sin on the cross he won so that every sin  lost power and influence over our lives.

God is closer than we think. By love, He put himself within reach of our possibilities. If someone wants to find God, he or she will find.

Today, the Lord came to pick us up. A mother wouldn’t think twice to give her life for their children, the same way God is the mother who gives his life for us.

The missionary Marcio Mendes on the “Smiling for Life” program, motivates our hearts to trust in Christ as the Lord desires our salvation and for that, we need to open ourselves to His will.

The  Word meditated on today is 1 Thessalonians 5,9-11:
“God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore, comfort you and build one another, as you already do. ”

“The Lord did not create us to death, but for life,” says Márcio.

God did not appoint us to destruction, but to salvation. The Lord did not create us for death, but for life. Salvation for us is to be a daily experience. How many situations of physical and moral hazards do we suffer! But at all times the Lord cares for us.

When we think that our prayer was not heard by God, our heart revolts from it, but the Lord never fails to hear us. Sometimes to win you need to lose, and, over time, we realize that losing was the best thing that could happen to us.

To make the experience of salvation we need to unite in Christ. He promises us salvation if we persevere to the end. For things to change in our lives, let us ask the Lord to touch our hearts. The Father does not demand answers from us, after all we do not know al. But the only thing He asks of us is that we stay with Him no matter what happens.

The only thing we can not give up is to walk with the Lord, because united to Him all else will be a consequence of our walk. We can then discern what comes into our lives, for evil can be disguised as something good. When connected to the Father, fruits begin to sprout in our hearts. If we have God, we can allow the Holy Spirit to manifest His fruit in us.

One day the Lord called us and He continued to walk with us. This is God’s promise to us: “Whoever fears the Lord will know that all will be well, and will be blessed on the day of his death.” (Sir 1:13). We can lose everything, but the most important thing is to be united to the Lord.

Several times, the pleasures of this world blind us and we do not give due importance to our walk with God, the unity of our family and true friends. What makes us stand with the Father is to put our hearts before Him, abandoning ourselves unreservedly in His hands. What does the Lord asks us about today? Whatever it is, if it is He who asks us, may we respond, as doing His will keep us united to him.

Fasting and prayer educates us to an experience with God, because they help us to master our impulses

Márcio Mendes invites us to look at our practices of fasting and prayer, because they help us to master our impulses and vanquish evil.

The meditated Word today is in Tobit 12.7 -15:
For it is good to hide the secret of a king: but honorable to reveal and confess the works of God. Prayer is good with fasting and alms more than to lay up treasures of gold: For alms delivers from death, and the same is that which purges away sins, and makes to find mercy and life everlasting. But they that commit sin and iniquity, are enemies to their own soul.

I discover then the truth unto you, and I will not hide the secret from you. When you did pray with tears, and did bury the dead, and did leave your dinner, and hide the dead by day in your house, and bury them by night, I offered your prayer to the Lord. And because you was acceptable to God, it was necessary that temptation should prove you.  And now the Lord has sent me to heal you, and to deliver Sara your son’ s wife from the devil. For I am the angel Raphael, one of the seven, who stand before the Lord.“.

O jejum e a oração disciplinam nosso coração

To get rid of evil, we have to have goodness in our heart. The Christian should not seek the occult to get rid of evil things. Whoever has Jesus in his life doesn’t have to resort to nefarious practices.

The only effective path that protects us from evil is good. Doing evil is always a temptation. Sin separates us from God. We are from God and evil must not be allowed to dominate us.

When we choose evil, our life is in ruins. Let us educate our body so that it do no harm. But how do we discipline the body? By fasting and prayer. Who is able to say ‘ no ‘ to their will, will be able to say ‘ no ‘ to sin.

Learn to give up things that are not important in our life. It is better to have little with justice than lots with sin andfast empty wishes. Who has the domain of his body has joy, because he can dominate himself. God uses various means to take us on His paths.

When we are united to the Lord, the suffering is converted into joy. He always changes the nature of our sufferings.

Have the courage to stop everything that’s wrong in your life and learn to say ‘ yes ‘ to God. Almsgiving frees us from death and purifies us of all sins. With courage, we strive to overcome the evil in us.

Beginning this week through to Holy Week, Catholicismanew will be offering one preacher a week from Canção Nova. This week we will read the words of Marcio Mendes. The next week we will read from Fr. Roger Araujo, the following week from Fr. Roger Luis, the next week from Luzia Santiago and the Fifth week of Lent from Monsignor Jonas Abib. Enjoy this special retreat series from Canção Nova

The meditated Word is in St Matthew 21:28-32:
“But what think you? A certain man had two sons; and coming to the first, he said: Son, go work today in my vineyard. And he answering, said: I will not. But afterwards, being moved with repentance, he went. And coming to the other, he said in like manner. And he answering, said: I go, Sir; and he went not. “

Temos silenciado o coração para ouvir a Deus?

If we can’t hear God, it is not because he won’t speak to us, but because we have muted our heart to hear him.The Lord tells us daily through our consciousness, of his word and of the people, to be on the lookout for His voice.

A person full of the Holy Spirit receives the anointing to transform his or her consciousness to the voice of the Lord. Our consciousness is the presence of God directing us not to take hasty attitudes. The Lord always tells us which way to go. When things do not work out, realize that he is telling us: “don’t go there. Stop! Come back! Let me guide you. “

Sensitivity to understand the will of God

Understand the Father’s hand guiding us on so many facts that happen to us and change our decision. God moves us to your attention when he speaks to us through the events of our lives. Our agitation and our occupations bury the voice of God which directs us. Who listens to his voice and obeys enters Heaven. It is possible to live heaven on Earth, because the presence of the Lord anticipates his Kingdom for us.

The sinner walks with remorse and lives in irritability all the time. The person who fights against God becomes unbearable to him or herself. Whoever is running away from their sufferings and does the opposite of what he says, will find much greater suffering.

Happiness is to fulfill the will of God

The Lord directs us not to make us unhappy, but because he wants the best for us. The child, when does not conform, suffers needlessly. The will of the Lord is a solid rock, in which he will strengthen all of our house. Whoever obeys God loves his family and avoids the reason to run away from his home.

Obey God when we seek Him in prayer and He will purify our our ears to hear him. No matter what our sins, the Lord has the power to remake our history.

Long ago, God has shown us the direction. Don’t be afraid to follow the paths that he shows us, but have the courage to obey his voice. If we unite the will of the Lord in all situations, we will experience Heaven.

Divine wisdom guides our lives when we let ourselves be led by it

Márcio Mendes, on the program ‘Sorrindo Pra Vida’ [Smiling at Life], meditates on the wisdom that comes from on high, which makes us have attitudes of generosity with our brothers.

.: For this Edition and other of Sorrindo Pra Vida in their original Portuguese ‘, visit the Canção Nova Play

The meditated Word are in Sirach 37:20 -27

A word is the source of every deed;a thought, of every act.The root of all conduct is the heart;four branches it shoots forth:Good and evil, death and life, and their absolute mistress is the tongue. One may be wise and benefit many, yet appear foolish to himself. One may be wise, but if his words are rejected,he will be deprived of all enjoyment. When one is wise to his own advantage, the fruits of knowledge are seen in his own person. When one is wise to the advantage of people, the fruits of knowledge are lasting. One wise for himself has full enjoyment, and all who see him praise him.The days of one’s life are numbered, but the life of Israel, days without number.26One wise among the people wins a heritage of glory, and his name lives on and on.My son, while you are well, govern your appetite, and see that you do not allow it what is bad for you.nabrepermission

Temos agido com sabedoria?

How nice it is when people look at us and see blessings! A wise heart is a gift from God, but also a personal construction. We are all born with the potential for wisdom, but many prefer to continue with weak intelligence.

Within us there is the ignorant and an extraordinary. Becoming wise people will require of us an attitude. What are our activities for today? Seek to act wisely in all. When we are in fellowship with God, our attitudes are inspired by him.

The heart is the root of all decisions. All that we choose leads us to life or death. Only good things come out of a healthy heart.

Let us acustom our our hearts to the right things and make the right things desirable. Maybe your loving gesture is the only thing a person will receive in life. Understand that for all we do there is a reward, but this reward will not always come in the form of money, but will always come.

To be wise is to act with good heart, being true and kind. Whoever walks in a lie is the first to be mistaken.Wisdom has to see with truth. Let us be true and good. Nobody wants to be around empty people; we may not be what others want us to be.

When we act in truth, wisdom produces fruit in our life. We win people’s respect and we love each other. What good we do, God does not allow to be lost.

The Lord is always good to us. React toanother’s roughness with goodness! Facetrouble with generosity. To be generous is to go right to adress problems.

What is generosity? Is to help immediately. There are people who help out of obligation, but the generous person helps in time, in the moment. Being generous is to go right to the problem and work out something good.

We are not alone! In the midst of sorrows and joys, the Lord is always with us. Trust in him and with courage, we continue to walk in God

Márcio Mendes motivates us to put our hope in God, trusting and believing that we are not alone, as he walks with us.

The word we meditate upon is in Isaiah 41.10 -14:
“Fear not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God: I have strengthened thee, and have helped thee, and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.
Behold all that fight against thee shall be confounded and ashamed, they shall be as nothing, and the men shall perish that strive against thee. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find the men that resist thee: they shall be as nothing: and as a thing consumed the men that war against thee. For I am the Lord thy God, who take thee by the hand, and say to thee: Fear not, I have helped thee.Fear not, thou worm of Jacob, you that are dead of Israel: I have helped thee, says the Lord: and your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel.” (D-R)

Coragem! Não estamos sozinhos, o Senhor caminha ao nosso lado

Many times we suffer, not because God does not act in our favor, but because we do not understand how he acts in our life. This happens because we lack intimacy with his word. We meditate on it to understand what the Lord tells us.

During every day of our life, we deal with painful situations, which make us suffer; and there’s nothing to stop us from living this suffering. However, the Lord offers us his presence and pours His  strength upon us, putting himself beside us in our struggles.

To be winning men and women, the Lord, through His word makes  us traverse a path of deliverance and salvation. To experience happiness, trust God and let the Holy Spirit dismantle everything that keeps us from walking.

How many of us are hostages of fear by situations that hurt us in the past. Let the Holy Spirit touch the wounds of our hearts, we put our lives in the hands of the Lord and let enter into our hearts.

When we suffer a pain too great, it is our instinct didn’t let anyone touch where it hurts. But even if it hurts and we cry, let the Lord lay his hands on our pain.

At the peak of a great suffering, it may be that the feeling of loneliness can take care of us and we think: “the Lord has forsaken me”. Christ experienced the loneliness in his agony, but God the father sent an Angel to comfort him. We are not alone, and the Lord doesn’t  send us an Angel, but comes personally next to us, comforting us and giving us the strength to fight.

The antidote to take the destructive character of suffering is the presence of God. When we’re suffering, let us turn to the Lord. Don’t face your pain alone. You don’t want us to be lonely and has promised to be with us whenever we need Him. We may be missing a lot of things in our lives, but the presence of God will never fail us. Courage! We trust in God.
