If Christ had not risen, vain would our faith

This month we have the biggest fact of all time, the great truth that divided history to “before and after Christ”: the resurrection of Jesus. This is because, if Christ had not risen, our faith would be in vain and the Christian life would be meaningless. Christ is risen! He is really the way to God, the truth for which every human being searches. The Life we all strive for, with total quality in abundance, true to life.

The shroud of Turin shows that the Romans were vicious in the flagellation of Christ. Despite not having the custom  to give so many lashes, so the practice began and ended with the body of Jesus. He just persevered because he was a strong man. He was all bruised, in pain from head to toe. Jesus was wounded by our sins. We were all like stray sheep, each following his own path. Do we still do this today, leading our life the way that suits us. It’s not what the Father wanted, but it was for our redemption, that the Lord did put upon Him all our sins. Jesus knew what he was supporting was for our salvation.

Jesus was not a defendant, he was innocent. He was crucified for you and for me. Jesus accepted death because this was the means to save us. He took upon himself the sins of all humanity, he let the curse fall upon himself. He died for us, but also he rose for us, to make it clear that this project of the father be realized in our life. Just as Jesus was resurrected for a definitive life, we too will raise up at the last day, the Lord wants us to live the present life in this way, making sure that one day we shall resurrect with him.
Our body is still subject to sin, but we need to use all members, no more for evil, but for the sake of righteousness, because that’s why we were created.

“If Christ is in you, your body, without doubt, is destined to death because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness. And if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Jesus Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies for your spirit that dwells in you “(Rm -11 8.10).

Although your body is weak, subject to sin and walks to death and corruption, if Jesus is in you, although your body is bound to the physical death, your spirit lives. The most beautiful reality is that your body also begins to experience the resurrection and the life. It becomes full of life, resurrection, and the signs that begin to appear in you, that becomes strong, brave by the power of Jesus. You stop being discouraged, a person who lives dragging through life, and you becomes a brave, fearless, kind person, who gives itself, full of courage, facing overwhelming odds, by the grace of God.

All this for what? Because of the presence of Jesus. Everyone will see your face, in your eyes, the true joy, enthusiasm, optimism, because Christ lives in you. And if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Jesus Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies for your spirit that dwells in you “(Rm 8.11). In the Valley of tears, (problems, difficulties, diseases), we will see people full of the resurrection and life. You are invited to be a transmitter of life for all those living in death.

The world needs Jesus! He is not physically with us, but we, Christians, by the power of the Holy Spirit are the source of living water to the world, as He. Jesus is the resurrection and the Life. There are a multitude of men in death, as in the vision of Ezekiel: “How parched bones scattered on the ground” (Ez 37.2). The Lord wants you to be resurrection and life for these people, to so many prodigal children who want to return home, they need to receive the embrace of the father of mercies. A person who has life and gives life to the point of saying: How Jesus is in me, how He lives in me and how I allow Him to penetrate me, I too am the resurrection and life.

To have that life we need to be in communion with the Lord, take communion the body and blood of Jesus, because “he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I shall rise on the last day” (Jo 6.54). Simply do not receive communion, but enter into intimate communion with the Lord. The Eucharist is the great means for our body, our soul and our spirit to come into communion with Jesus. How to assimilate the food we eat, and it becomes life for our body, so it happens when we enter into intimate communion with Jesus.

Raising up on the last day will be just a natural consequence of a lifetime. When our body you discard as the seed falls apart on Earth, eternal life will be on us. I always wondered why Mary Magdalene was the first to see the Lord. It wasn’t any of the Apostles. She’s the one who goes and announces to Peter and John that the Lord had risen. Mary Magdalene was chosen because she was the more determined, more determined to follow the Lord. While the Apostles went into hiding for fear of the Jews, she took her companions and, at dawn, determined, even at risk, she went to the Tomb, to express the great love she had for Jesus, because she had broken from her old life. We need to be as determined as she was!

If we stay on the fence, in “more or less” correct “neither hot nor cold,” and we’re not going anywhere. Mary Magdalene knew if she stayed in mourning, she wouldn’t want to go anywhere. My brethren, the Church wants us to live in this expectation of resurrection, because the resurrection of Jesus is the certainty of our resurrection. If we are living in the light, if we took the word of God and she takes effect in our lives, if we persevere and fight, especially in today’s world, where we are against the current, when we die, by the grace and mercy of God we shall resurrect to eternal life, eternal award, and not for conviction.

And the word of God, which attests to the resurrection of Jesus, we aim also to his glorious coming. We are between these two wonderful events, seeking in each Easter, our resurrection and new life. At the same time, we turn to the happy expectation of the coming of Jesus in glory, and we turn, every day, by the powerful action of the Holy Spirit who was given to us. You see: the same Holy Spirit,-tells us the Scriptures –, who raised Jesus from the dead, has been given to us and dwells in us, to enact in each of us the resurrection of Christ and to lead us to new life!

Nobody is born bad

O cristao ama seus inimigos

“In this way, are we such a cloud of witnesses, let us cast off  from us the chains of sin” (Hb 12, 1a). The word of God is showing us that sin is not just an act, because if repeated, it envelopes us and ties us up in chains. “

“Run with perseverance to the proposed combat , keeping eyes focused on the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus”(Hb 12, 1b). However, we’re forgetting this entirely.

For many, there no longer exists the struggle against sin, there is an inclination to it, and there are many opportunities to commit it. Often, when there is a friend that leads us to do what is wrong, we, without striving, entered into sin: Let’s go “drinking” it, in tying it to the senses, feelings and we end up trapped by it [sin], because it is much more than a disease.

Sin wants us to lead many to enter the drug addictions, alcoholism, of lies, corruption, hypocrisy, arrogance, evil and we can’t get out.

We were raised in the right and the good, people are born good, but lean to small sins, then the most serious, finally becoming bad, evil. People become bad, because being tied to sin, are taken in  evil and are unable to extricate themselves.

Leave sin, having the grace of conversion is a God thing. Only He can convert us.Conversion is changing direction, is to “turn around” and live the opposite way. If you have not yet had the grace of conversion, by Jesus, the Savior, is the blood and the cross from him; we’re all ripped out of this situation of sin.

The initial conversion is only by God, by the intervention of Jesus. You need to ask for it, take it and accept it.

And even after the grace of conversion, because of original sin and the weight that it will bring in our lives, we need to continue the fight. Fight with perseverance in fighting before us with our eyes fixed on Jesus, in us, who starts and completes the work of faith. I know you want that for your life.

I don’t know what kind of sin you are entangled in, but today is the day to put it on the altar, the sacrifice of Jesus. Even if you’re struggling, but still fail to bounce back from your sin, do as Jesus told Jairo: “be not afraid, only believe”. The Lord is on your side, He did not abandon you and he tells you. “Fear not, believe only because I’m by your side. Put your eyes fixed on me and walk. I want to give you a complete conversion “.

Many stop loving in order not to suffer. But this is crazy! Regardless of the events, it is the love that is your salvation. Due to your love donation people with whom you come in contact will be saved.

Not only young people, but there are many adults, many married people who need to rediscover the grace of love, because, disappointed, they stopped loving. They become victims of their own revolt against an alcoholic family:irresponsible, absent, infidel, rough, authoritative, for this reason mine the love.

Despite these disappointments and family issues, love. I know it’s hard, but you’re the one who needs love. Make a decision for love

We need to relearn how to love. There are problems, but the lack of love sickens the heart.

We need to assume and develop the charismatic gifts that we have

The gifts we receive is not for ourselves, but for others, for the Church. It is not we who use them for our own benefit, but to serve the children of God. The one who works miracles, cures, and gives us wisdom is the Holy Spirit.

Like Jesus, we have a yearning within us to collaborate with the rescue of the people.

The new evangelization must be new courage, and boldness!
We need to assume a new enthusiasm, new charisma and ministries undertaken with fearlessness.

The slogan that St Paul gave Timothy is suitable for us today: “Reinflame the charism of God that is in you!” (2 Tim. 1.6).

More than ever, it’s time to reinflame the charism, to rekindle the flame that is in us, excite us again with the gifts that God gives us.

We’re walking with Jesus at this time of lent

Lent MassWe are invited to go up the Hill of Calvary with Jesus. This means taking up the crosses of our daily lives and taking on the difficulties and the problems, taking the posture of the ‘ new man ‘, or the ‘ new woman ‘ don’t despair, but trust.

Also read:

Climbing the mountain is enter the intimacy with the Lord by prayer. The mountain is the place of encounter with the Lord; and via the path, is prayer. At this time, we are called to conversion of ordinary things, situations of our daily lives.

Up the mountain with the Lord means facing our life without running away from problems, in the certainty that He is with us and so we are not walking alone. God reaches out to us, and because we’re together, we can move on without be discouraged.

A sexuality lived barely can lead to evil for life

Joseph, son of Jacob, chosen by God, but despised and sold by his own brothers, was the salvation for your whole family. Joseph became salvation in the same way as Jesus, despised, delivered, betrayed by his own brothers and taken to the pagans to be dead. Joseph didn’t die, but Jesus, the son of God, Yes; He died for the salvation of the whole world.

Unfortunately, many children were betrayed, “sold” and delivered as slaves of this world; were trashed for their most beautiful features, learning on the street everything that refers to sexuality, making decisions full of evils, bringing these kids a lot of consequences.

It’s not that sex is a bad thing; on the contrary, for both the man and the woman, sex is the great participation in the creative power of God.

Just as God is fruitful and His fecundity resulted in the creation of the world, men are also fruitful: receiving the fecundity of the Father and are creators like Him. Knowing this, the enemy wanted to distort the human sexuality with dirty jokes, dirty stories and malicious songs. Still small, the children have contact with those misconceptions.

All these situations assaulted the heart and soul of the children of God who, very early, were ashamed of Him. Were victims and failed to get out of this situation, eventually feeling ashamed before the Lord.

After the First Communion, many left Confession, they left the Church and have lost the courage to go to mass,  and were sinking. They weren’t bad, but were embarrassed to appear before God in that state. In fact, the shame that they felt was about. But that shame led them to an erroneous mentality about God and even in childhood. It was a big mess!

The Lord wants to heal the heart of man, because especially him, as a boy, he learned a lot of things wrong. for many men were introduced early to malice, to bad words, to masturbation, sex early in practice. The truth is that the wounds present on the heart of man are reflections of the longing of God.

Note that the lack of God in childhood, can compromise the entire life of a person. Not living a childhood with the Lord, the ill-prepared youth misses a lot on sexuality, relationship, engagement. If he does not err physically, he does so in thoughts, in desires, in magazines, in movies, in jokes, … And turn away from God.

Were not a few who ended up getting married. They were married in the Church, but not “married to God”, and it is from Him that the bride and groom are given the grace to be spouses and parents. Many men have been to the altar embarrassed, because they knew the Lord knew all they had done in their youth, in dating, in the engagement. But He wants to change all that. He wants to restore everything. Whatever your age, the Father would have a great healing in your life, he wants to turn the longing in friendship with God. He wants to be your friend.

Much larger than their longing, is that which God has for you. He never left you and now wants to be your friend. Because He loves you deeply, He is head of the home, the family and society.

If the world, politics, education, business, trade are bad, it’s because men are bad, because the mind is needs healing.

With healing, God wants to make us men like Joseph. For him, it is possible to redo everything!

Pray as a man of God:

“Lord, I want to resist the temptation that besieges me on all sides. Like Joseph, I want to resist, want to be firm in faith for love of you.

Thank you for wanting the salvation of my family, my brothers and sisters and of the land on which I became slave to sin. Unfortunately, my brothers ended up selling me as a slave of sin. But I accept your plan today to be the salvation for my brothers and to this land I live.

Thank you, Lord, for the change in my heart. Make me the son you always wanted, husband and father in the faith. Visit me in my weakness, make me firm as Joseph. Amen. “
