Seven Virtues a Woman Needs to Cultivate

Know and seek to cultivate in your daily life seven virtues that a woman of God must have

The woman is a gift of God to mankind. The more we accept this truth, we will be more effective in our mission. There are many tasks we face during the day: work, study, dating, caring for the home, kids, husband and so on. How do we  accomplish all this while being God’s presence in the media? It is essential to have a life of prayer to the Lord to hear the directions and to answer this question. Intimacy with the Lord will grant to the woman what is needed to be an extension of love in everything she is doing.

940x500 - Virtues women of God
Seven virtues we need to cultivate as women of God:

1 Fear of God: A person fearing the Lord at all looking to put Him first and at the center of his life. “There are many women of value, but you’ve passed all! Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting, a woman who fears the Lord deserves praise! “(Proverbs 31: 29-30).

2 Humility: Being a humble woman is not as easy as it sounds because there is no other way to achieve this result if not through humility But, after all, who likes to be humbled? Pride prevents us from living the Gospel of Jesus who teaches us to “wash the feet” of others. Learning that humility is the only solid foundation of all virtues. So if it is the basis, we must learn to accept the difficulties and turn them into salvation. Think of the other first, accepting the answer may hurt, but, serve without expecting anything in return, ie, being a disciple of Jesus.

3 Silence: We like to talk much, but I refer to an inner silence able to hear the voice of God. Fruitful silence purifies the word before it is pronounced and thus helps build another and not destroy. “Hear, O daughter, and see tilts the ear (…)” (Ps 45.11). It is essential to learn to listen to God and neighbor. “Quiet and sensible woman is a gift of God and nothing is comparable to well-educated person.” (Sir 26,18).

4. domain itself: Learning to dominate yourself is not to lose your personality, but to learn to speak at the right the time and with the right words. Acting on impulse is not a wise way to live. How often do we lose a lot by not knowing silence? Self-control is born of silence that prevents us from acting promptly. A virtuous woman is not fragile but full of wisdom and sweetness because she dominates her passions.

5 Chastity: A chaste woman is able to purify the relationships between man and woman, not only in marriage but in every relationship. The way you dress, speak, act and even to relate demands chastity. The sensuality completely misrepresents the purity of a woman of God. So be firm with yourself and then with your boyfriend or husband for that virtue is a positive mark on you.

6 Tenderness: I learned with author Jo Croissant that tenderness is love manifested beyond words, through a gesture, a kindness, a look, a loving presence. It melts what is hard, what is cold, it warms warms, strengthens what is weak and heals what is wounded. You do not want to impose with a heavy stance, it is not worth it! After all, how nice it is to be near a tender sweet woman!

7 Wisdom: Wisdom is unattainable by human effort, but by the grace of God. A wise woman is one who strives to live all the virtues mentioned above.

You can achieve these and other virtues. Life offers us daily opportunities to put into practice each one, just pay more attention and strive to be faithful to the motions from on high. A virtuous woman is filled with the Holy Spirit of God. I want to be that woman. And you?
