Acampamento Jovens Sarados 2017 - Pregação com Pe.Roger Luis

In the sacrament of Penance, there is peace.

Who remembers the times when, in seeking the sacrament of penance, after confessing, we heard this sentence: “Your sins are forgiven!”? In important situations in my life, in faith seeking a priest to confess to, I experienced the Lord speaking to me as he said to the woman: “And Jesus said unto the woman, Thy sins are forgiven!”
What peace, my God, I feel it as the repentant sinner!
“Then the guests began to think, ‘Who is this who even forgives sins?’ But Jesus said to the woman, ‘Your faith has saved you. Go in peace! ‘”(Lk 7, 47-50)
The effect of God’s forgiveness on the penitent’s heart is so great that it has the life-transforming power of a lifetime. Whoever seeks Christ often for the forgiveness of his sins, not only receives a new life, but gains divine strength to overcome sin.
Jesus shows this power through love and mercy achieved: “the many sins that she committed are forgiven, because she showed much love. He who is forgiven little shows little love “(Lk 7:47).

“I will make you wise, I will show you the way to go; with eyes on you, I will give you counsel “(Ps 32,8 Portuguese).
Each day that we are born, we must make the firm decision to live with quality the time granted by the Lord God. Sometimes, early on, some unpleasant situations happen, but we can not allow bad temper, irritation, sadness and so many other negative feelings to lead and determine the pace of our day.

Instead, let us make a firm decision to live with joy and overcome our limits in God. Let us ask the Lord, “Give me the grace to live all that the Lord has in store for me this day,” for the Lord always has the best for us.

translation: Love folded over so that it cannot be broken

Guilty feelings do not come from God.

“Brothers, you were called to freedom.” (Gal 5:13) Diving into the love of God is the secret to getting rid of guilt, and that feeling does not come from Him. Everything that enslaves us does not come from the Lord. Many people, because of a lack of knowledge, think that by doing the will of God they become slaves. On the contrary: the more we give up our will to do God’s will, the freer we become, because the Lord has made us free and for freedom. Many people carry a terrible sense of guilt and allow themselves to be destroyed by it. Immerse yourself in the infinite love of the Father, and immediately let go of all of these feelings.

[It is a powerful teaching of the saints, i.e. St. Alphonsus Liguori, that once one has repented, guilty feelings that persist are not from God, just as Luzia teaches above.–Ed.

Pregação com Pe.Arlon - Festa do Pai das MisericórdiasA heart similar to the Lord’s

In the prayer of the rosary, in every mystery, I have the custom to pray this little prayer: “Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto you.” Praying this ejaculation, I began to reflect on the importance of what we ask for: a heart similar to the Lord’s. We can not deceive ourselves with a wonderful prayer life, but in practice it does not resemble Jesus’ way of being. You have asked yourself these questions: “Does my heart know Jesus? Is it becoming, day by day, more like the heart of Jesus, who is meek, humble, prayerful and untiring in seeking the Kingdom of the Father? Do I have love for Jesus and do I have ardor for souls? ” This is especially necessary for those who already have years of walking in the Lord. Look at what happened to Peter: he knew Jesus as many others, but he assumed and proclaimed him as the Son of God the Savior only by the action of the Holy Spirit. Only in the Father do we know the Son’s heart, and we are resembling Him. The closer we are to the Son, the more intimate the Father will be, for the Holy Spirit shows us that the discussions are not fruitful: it is the action of the Father that guides us to Him in whom the fullness of revelation is offered.

Peregrinos movimentam o Santuário Nascional na véspera do 12 de Outubro

Where God is, everything can and must be different

It is beautiful to realize that He always opens, in front of us, a path so that we can clearly and specifically discover His will in our lives. Jesus came down from heaven and will continue with us until the end of time. We are not alone, for even if we do not feel Him, His presence is certain, as long as we welcome Him and allow Him to be the God and Lord of our lives. When Moses received the mission to lead the people of Israel to the promised land, he had to trust God and obey His voice. Thanks to this confidence, he saw the sea open, water springs from the stone and manna fell from Heaven. With this, God proves that He is present at all times, inaugurating new realities in our lives. Jesus,  I trust in you!
