translation: “Love bends, but does not break!”

The Word of God prepares us for the second coming of Jesus

In the formation of the and holy in us, we rely on the Word of God, the light of our walk. We need to assimilate it in faith and prayer and put it into practice, because we do not seek an earthly and transient perfection, but an eternal one, in the likeness of Jesus, the Son of God.

The Word is the effective means of convincing ourselves that God has placed us in the world to know Him, to love Him and to reach Heaven. With the Word we have the Eucharist, which transform us in the living Christ.

Monsignor Jonas Abib tells us: “The Church makes us proclaim: ‘As we live in hope, we await the coming of the Savior Christ’ and she calls us to ask in every Eucharist : ‘Come, Lord Jesus’, she herself stirs up in us the joyful expectation of the Lord at His second coming. “

translation: Love bends, but does not break.”

Lovers always take the first step
The reason for our existence is to love God with total commitment and to relate to our brothers and sisters with an attitude of love inspired by the love of God Himself. In God’s eyes, our love for Him if it is not a participation in His love and not expressing himself in the service of men is mere illusion. As we see, the first conversion is easy, but difficult is the conversion away from seeking self-interest . Giving up for the good of the other what you would like to own for yourself. It is love that “does nothing of shame, is not selfish, does not become angry, does not take into account the evil suffered; it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth. It excuses everything, believes everything, expects everything, bears all “(1 Cor 13: 5-7). But, for love to pass through in your life, you need to be humble. It will be necessary to forgive many times and ask for forgiveness every day, every hour, every moment when it is necessary. Who do you need to love concretely today? The one who loves always takes the first step.

VALINHOS-LOCA DO ANJOIn the most difficult hours I call out to Mary
Nothing we put in prayer is unanswered, for “the eyes of the Lord are turned to the righteous, his ears are attentive to his cry for help” (Ps 34:16).

Every child, at the time of difficulty, has the inclination to run to the mother or call her. I do the exercise of calling the name of Jesus many times during the day and, I confess, in the most difficult hours I call for Mary. I have become accustomed to asking: “Mary, go ahead of the situations that I have no control over, and of what I do not know how to take care of.”

I see Our Lady passing on to my problems and solving all situations. Let’s pray together that day: “Mary, go ahead to solve what I am unable to solve. Take care of what is not within my reach. You have the power to do this. Who can say that he was disappointed by you after he called you? ”

Peregrinos movimentam o Santuário Nascional na véspera do 12 de OutubroWe want holiness, but we have no mercy on the weaknesses of our brethren.

The hypocrite is the person whose actions do not match his thinking. The hypocrite is one who becomes an ungodly man and sometimes becomes spiritually blind: his judgment is distorted, perverted. It is the risk of infidelity.

We want holiness, but we have no mercy on the weaknesses of our brethren. We speak in holiness, but we do not like what goes against our selfishness.

There are people who, by praying the rosary all day long, think that this is holiness. We, too, who receive communion daily, think that this is holiness. We confess two, three times a month and we think this is holiness.

What is holiness? Is it to live in expectation for the coming of the Lord. It is to give a hug when you do not want to. It is to make gestures of love when you do not want to. It’s loving when you do not want to love. It is to invite a person into your house when your desire is to close or even knock the door in front of her. It is to treat another well, it is to bear with patience, it is to love.

If Jesus came to your house at a time when you’re fighting, would you be taken to Heaven?

I have done this exercise: every time I get annoyed, I think, “What if Jesus comes now?” Or “If I go today”; He has to find me ready.

Today in every situation think, “What if Jesus comes now?”

Pregação com Padre Demétrio Gomes no Acampamento Revolução Jesus

Always choose the truth

Only truth makes us truly free men and women
We receive such a large amount of information, so quickly, that if we are not attentive, we will be impregnated by a totally distorted mentality, to the point of exchanging the truth of God for the lie of the world, without our realizing it. Jesus praying to the Father, said, “I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by the truth; Thy word is truth “(John 17, 15-17). It means that we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He alone will lead us to discern and walk according to the truth of God: “Sanctify them by the truth; Thy word is truth “(John 17:17). The great concern of the heart of Jesus is that we remain in truth, because only truth makes us truly free men and women: “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32). Let us ask the Lord to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us, so that we do not stray from His ways. Come, Holy Spirit, and lead us in the situations and events of this day. Deliver us from error so that we do not stray from the will of God. Jesus, I trust in you!

Adoração ao Santíssimo Sacramento no Kairós A Cura da DepressãoLet us be attentive to today’s blessing

Daily we need to open ourselves to the new. One day is never the same as the other, and for each day the Lord gives us his own grace. The grace of yesterday is past and will never return; let us be attentive to today’s blessing. Let us not by any means let the grace of God pass through our lives. We are preoccupied with many things, agitated, bound to our problems, and therefore often unable to perceive the grace of God operating in us. We continue with the old man’s habits when we cling to our problems. Today, the Lord invites us to live differently, giving us a slogan: “It is necessary for you to be born again” (John 3: 7b). This order is a divine design of mercy, because God wants us filled with the renewing Holy Spirit. With the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, everything begins to change within us and around us, for the power of God renews all things.

Let the Holy Spirit transform us and renew us. Let us pray and pray: Come, Holy Spirit! “If you send out your breath, they revive and renew the face of the earth” (Psalm 103,30). Jesus I trust in you!
