The Wisdom of Silence: fools when they are silent appear wise

Socrates, the wise Greek Philosopher, said that the eloquence is, many times, a manner of false exaltation of that which is small and of diminishing that which is de facto big. The word can be ill-used, masqueraded and used for concealment. it is, therefore, that the wise always taught that if only we should speak something, when our words will be more valuable than our silence. The reason is simple: Our words have the power of constructing or destructing. They can generate peace, concord, comfort, consolation, but they can too generate hatred, resentment, anguish, sadness and many more. “Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.” (Pr 17,28 NIV). Enough of a Breach and Evil Enters Us!

If you mantain your resentments and attitudes, without perdoning this or that person, the same with someone of your family; if you are a hard father who never talks with your son or daughter because he or she deceived you; if you continue with a nasty heart, resentful, cultivating frustrations and deceptions, if thus you feed negative feelings in relation to the Church, to the priest, religious, parish, whatever movement to which you belong, you are ceding a place for that one that never pardons and never is merciful and is opposed to Jesus, you are ceding the throne of your heart to evil.
