I believe that we Christians should not only know to give a simple answer to whomever asks us these things such as a YES or NO! If WE CAN OR CANNOT, but we have to know the why of our responses.

Then we are going to give a simple explanation, but I believe it will necessary for you to understand.

The Horoscope and Astrology are completely tied

Astrology is a pseudoscience in which one studies the celestial bodies (Sun, Moon, Stars, Planets, etc…) and their relative positions believe that these have some form of influence and provide information on the personalities of person, or even influencing the happenings on the Earth over people. For each celestial body there exists a representation of an animal. Astrology is not considered by the scientific community to be a science for they have never presented tests or results that in fact prove their methodology.

Astrology is the foundation as tool for the study of the Horoscope, that is nothing more than a diagram the represents the celestial bodies seen from an determined, specific place.

Then what persons do is to try to make a co-relation among the Zodiac Signs, the positions of the celestial bodies, the birthday of a person; and with this information all will  make an association of how this person will be in his personality and behavioral characteristics.

What is happening over the years is that through using some type of information through some type of astrology creates still a line of divination, of seeking a preview of the future and of finally putting it all together.

Today what we see in these television programs, newpapers, magazines and here on the radio that give information on the Horoscope is in fact actually astrology.

Now let us ask the question: Can I read Horoscopes?

After this explanation I think that it is clear that the answer is no. No we should not base ourselves in activities that bring all types of doubts about its methods. And actually that what they are doing is wanting to divine the future.

But there exist still people that are going much further in these activities of SUPERSTITION, they are persons that even evoke demons to have answers and directions through what is written in Horoscopes. This becomes a demonic practice!

It is good to make it clear that checking a Horoscope in itself without having an evoking of the demonic or occult forces is not a demonic practice, but it is a supersticious one!

The problem is that whomever seeks in the Horoscope answers for their lives always will be tempted to seek things from the occult and unknown forces for answers, creating a great danger in falling into activities that are of the occult.

Conclusion: Whomever seeks in the HOROSCOPE answers or directions commits the sin of SUPERSTITION!
