The Lord’s gaze is upon those who fear Him and wait on Him

Waiting and trusting is our salvation!

Today I want to begin with the Word of God: “The eye of the Lord watches over him who fears him, on whom he expects in his grace” (Psalm 33:18). This is a word of hope that comes from God, because He is wonderful and will change everything that is wrong in our life. But we have to be intimate with Him, and for that to happen, we need to pray. Have you been praying lately?

Before God, we can not keep our heads down, as if we were defeated. When we have a garden, we can plant beautiful roses or dig a grave, it will depend on us. The optimist plants the roses; The pessimist, without hope, digs his own grave and looks at it every day.

We trust in the Lord, so we need to assume our identity as children of God and wait on Him, the Lord’s gaze is upon those who fear Him and wait on Him. My brother, the Lord is looking at your pain, at your life, your problem, so decide today to plant roses in your garden and wait with confidence in the Lord.

Jesus will come and all this will pass. May this news fill your heart of hope

One person asked me, “Do you have something to tell me to be of hope?” I thought and I remembered the tragedy in Minas Gerais, the attacks in France, the economic crisis, the diseases, but none of that gives us hope, only sadness.

Then I answered, “The only and best news I have is that the second coming of Jesus Christ is at hand. This fact fills my heart with hope and joy, I feel a deep peace in thinking that Jesus will return. “

It is true that we must go through many trials and tribulations, but Jesus will come and all this will pass. We must wait for his return, like a good servant waiting for his Lord to return. May this news fill your heart with hope.

The Importance of Silence to Hear the Lord

Silence is important for listening to the Lord’s guidance

Adoração ao Santíssimo Sacramento no #PHN2017

Yesterday, I talked about our inner turmoil and how far it keeps us from God. Today, I want to meditate on the importance of silence. We must have a moment to be with God alone. Even spouses need this moment of solitude, for it is necessary to have their moment to listen to the Lord’s directives.

We should take days of rest, yes, but also retreats.

My brothers, our relationship with God is too important not to keep the flame of faith alive. If we turn away from Him, our faith will cool. That’s the secret!

I always pray for you.

One who is a child of God knows you can’t sell oneself for any price

Dirty money is rotten, and when it falls into our hands or in our pocket, it rots the heart. How can we then get in front of God? Or kneel before the Blessed Sacrament to adore him and ask him for the graces we need? Jesus asks us a disturbing question: “what’s the point for one to gain the whole world just to lose his or her soul?”. Every one has a price.

Each is sold by the value of his dignity. As a child of God you know you can’t sell yourself, because your value as a “child of God” is priceless. On the contrary, one who sells him or herself or is corrupted, loses  infinite dignity. In our ambition, do not measure how to win. That opens us up to  theft, corruption, quarrel, and we don’t know how to manage it.

We live in fear of the scandals and we don’t have peace, because our conscience weighs on us. You can cheat and steal from everyone, but we can’t shut the soft voice of conscience, which is the voice of God. And if we silence that voice, we become a wild beast, destructor.

When we cry, the Holy Spirit Washes Our soul

We are a body, and that body is suffering, but we have to take advantage even of our sufferings. They are part of everyone’s lives, and we cannot ignore them. So be happy of that your condition that makes you cry. It seems that the humiliation that makes us cry, that with each teardrop rolling out of our eyes is a sight for sore eyes of God.

The Lord sees us in the depths of our being. and this action is beautiful  helping us benefit from our suffering! First, as I already mentioned, suffering is part of life for all. Then, there are those moments that one feels a bitterness in the heart, that squeezes inside, leaving us just to cry.

When we cry, the Holy Spirit washes our soul, which is impregnated with impurity and sin, so we suffer. The washing of the Holy Spirit in our interior causes the tears. In these moments, God takes advantage of coming directly to us, we are without masks, needy, and is in tears spilled from the heart that He can welcome us.

Self-knowledge helps us in our weakness and leads us to be better

conhecer o coração

Our self-knowledge of our weakness brings forth in us humility and true peace. Here are the Beatitudes of tears of which the Gospel speaks not those easy and sensitive tears that express nothing, but those tears deep of the heart, these returns and conversions that call us to humility and the painful heartache of sins committed, that contrition of the heart.

In the Gospel we see those tears our Lord called “Blessed”: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (5.4 Mt), the forgiven sinner’s tears, the tears of Peter who denied the master, tears of my heart, that you and I have experienced and that God wants us to concede to us.

God provides, God will provide. Trust! His mercy won’t be lacking.
