The impiety make us evil fans

We who serve the God are oppressed by a spirit of impiety.

Evil acts in this spirit, and God father wants to get rid of it, that’s why Jesus came to teach us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions. For the enemy of God is invested in leading  us to in live them.
Let us pray: “deliver me, Lord! I don’t want to live in worldly passions, I don’t want them to dominate me. Lord, come take over my mind, all my being, my whole body, my feelings, my emotions. Free me of all impiety.

The couple that prays together makes fruit their talents and grow stronger spiritually

Only God is one, only to Him belongs to the character to be one, so only God can foster the unity of the married couple.“That all may be one; as you o father, are in me and I in you, that they also be one in us “(Jn 17.22).

A perfeita unidade do casal é cultivada pela oração

Men and women who leave mom and dad depart towards the beautiful challenge of the experience of the unity, have the grace of the state of matrimony. “What God hath joined together, let not man put asunder” (Mk 10:9).

Marriage is a sacrament celebrated by spouses and blessed by the Church in the person of the priest. However, it is essential that both parties, man and woman, be aware that since the wedding, blessing the unity between them is made perfect.

We see, then, clearly, this sacrament is not a human society. Either a recognition, on the part of the Church, of a couple who have lived together and happens to live under the blessing of God.

Unity in God

From the beginning, the man and woman were created to be united and live the mystery of oneness in God, unity similar to the one experienced by the Holy Trinity. It is the mystical experience to learn to love your “neighbor most close”, as oneself.

In this relationship, where God raises the unity, there is continually a spiritual battle. A spouse is always lifting each other at the time of a possible fall, because God never allows both to fall at the same time.

The spouses see the image of Jesus Christ on the face each other, and so they learn to love themselves. However, if there is a spiritual battle in the marital relationship, if the enemy of God tries every way destroy the marriage, it is necessary that the spouses are always very well armed to defend themselves.

In the modern world, the spouses hardly have an awareness of what is marriage. Normally, when a situation more difficult or even a small disagreement of ideas happen, both react humanely, so often taking hasty positions, ignoring the tools that God puts in your hands, on the occasion of the wedding.

The Mission of the couple

The couple has the mission to make your marriage more and more holy. So that this goal is reached, it is necessary a tireless toil, a cut of a rough diamond, for which it becomes bright, reflecting Jesus Christ for all who surround him for He they thirst.

The spiritual life is dynamic. The Holy Spirit is the holy sword to every couple. How many misunderstood and harsh words can be exchanged between spouses who still don’t know that their Union is alive and effective sign of Jesus!

A couple needs to pray together, with a view to the charisma of your unity. Man and woman, made one by the sacrament of marriage, they need to pray. This prayer cannot be just personal, it needs to happen within the couple. The perfect unity of the soul and the body grows through prayer.

How many times couples propagate their corporal and intellectual unity, but do not experience the union of their souls. A perfect harmony in marriage should be founded, rooted in Jesus.

The couple, recognizing their smallness while sinners, but their greatness by divine sonship, totally in need and stripped in front of the one true source of love and wisdom there pours their souls and will live fully the graces of their unity. “When two or more are gathered in my name, I am in their midst” (Mt 18.20).

The divine unity of the couple

The prayer of the couple lead them to realize that the marriage is not just on the human plane. This way of prayer deepens the unity of the couple in the mystery of the divine unity.

If the couple is something so wonderful, fruitful and that both pleases the heart of God, why doesn’t happen often? Often, under the guise of sleep or tiredness, spouses are mistaken by the enemy of God and looking like legitimate justifications, postpone or prevent the pouring of His grace more and more upon the spouses.

A couple united in Jesus will have a family founded on the rock. Satan tries to prevent this harmony. The couple fit through this battle with the Holy Sword of the spirit and who prostrate themselves daily at the foot of the cross of their Redeemer, to cry out for wisdom and unity, and living by the grace of being able to forgive each other and, above all, living love so true.

Spouses who pray together, receiving the Eucharist together, make fruitful their talents and nourish themselves spiritually. No more will they walk with the world and its values as a model, but in Christ, and with fearlessness will face all the battles and challenges arising from the fact of living in the world.

 Don’t fear What Is New

The new always comes and changes always happen

Life is marked by innovations. As we live, we are faced daily with numerous discoveries. At certain times, the news is bad; in others, well, but, like it or not, the new realites always come and change always happen. Someone who bids farewell, a job that is lost, a love that goes away. Life holds many surprises and, through them, we can always grow.

There are changes that can be positive, sometimes even necessary. When we break with fear, assuming, with humility, the grace of not being aware of the future. We can be extremely formed by the mystery, that, gradually, will reveal themselves, unveiling our truth and adding to what we are.

The new and changes

The new realities, changes, losses reveal what we are, because, as we’re reacting before each new situation, we’re discovering new areas of ourselves and we can understand a little more who we are. It’s not through action that you know a certain person, but by their reactions, because actions can be programmed and the reactions are always natural.

Each time new, every new situation in life is a privileged moment to discover the best and the worst, the weaknesses and the strengths. There is no growth without self-knowledge. So we can’t be afraid of the new, because when we live well, making things happen in good time, we have grown significantly in comprehension of the mystery that we are.

Don’t run away from yourself, and some necessary changes, is a path of healing and maturity. Face each other, with humility and patience, given the limitations, means to prepare the way for virtue.

Happiness dwells in the heart that gradually becomes free, natural and without illusions about yourself and life.

Don’t fear the new, changes, anyway, do not be afraid if he finds out. Let life teach you to accept and love what you really are, giving off of illusions and unrealistic ideas.

When we begin to understand ourselves, we achieve the ability to transform winters into beautiful spring. Make this experience!

Jesus Christ paid our debt of sin with his blood on the cross

We’re playing on the fundamental reality of Christianity. He could have saved us by many means, but He wanted to save us by the cross.

At that time, the Greeks seek wisdom, because for them this virtue would solve everything; already the Jews sought the law. God, did not want to save the world through wisdom or the law, but “craziness” (in the eyes of the world).

“In fact, he took upon himself my infirmities, and uploaded my sufferings: and I claimed as a grounded, wounded by God and humiliated”.

Thus, we have here the fundamental truth of Christianity: Jesus took all our sins and nailed them on the cross. There’s the beautiful thing, the Lord took upon himself our sins. Then, when He took them, He suffered not only on the cross, but was already suffering during His arrest.

Many times, we look only at the crucifixion. Of course it’s a barbaric what they did, but that’s not all. See: Christ took upon himself our sins, carried them to the cross and left them there. Let me tell you: our sins no longer belong to us.

Our past sins have already been undertaken by the Lord to the cross; more still: the future sins have been assumed by him. Even the last sin of our life has been taken over by the Lord. We’re in the fundamental truth of Christianity: Jesus took upon all our sins, the sins past, present and even the future. He crucified them on the cross, so it’s easy to gain forgiveness from him.

Compreenda o perdão que Cristo nos dá na cruz

In the book “Curados Para Amar” [Healed to Love], I present the following explanation:

“I know you’re a driver and you have to drive well and accomplish your work. But I know, too, that you’re not a good driver, so, over time, you will make mistakes like scratching the car, accidents, fines, pay for repairs of your car. Just that, knowing this, loving you, I’m going to the Bank and deposit an amount so large that will be enough to cover those cases; so, I take it and put it in your hand. So, from there on, all your traffic accidents will be paid. You must acknowledge once again your guilt and see the reality: that you now have a debt, but also that already you have the money to pay for it “.

People, that’s what Jesus did for us through his death: he paid our debts [sins]. Take a peek at the damage that you did in the lives of others, but thanks to God, with much more than a checkbook, Jesus Christ has paid our debt with his blood on the cross, as someone who assumes the debt of others. So “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1, 8).

Of course you don’t want to sin, but you sin. Do you deny that you have sinned? No! Jesus is teaching us that just to have humility in recognizing our sin. By the time we recognize our sin, then God is faithful and just to forgive us, as we are taught the Holy Scriptures.

I am always delighted with the gesture of Luzia, because she has a devotion to the crucified Christ. When the cross arrived here she she quickly went down to kiss the wounds of Jesus. Do the same: put yourself in front of the cross, plunge forward on the open side of Jesus. This wound is forever open; Enter the heart of Christ, don’t hide. The first thing that we carry within us is the feeling of guilt. Immediately the demon begins to accuse us, putting in us the sense of shame for not acknowledge God’s forgiveness. Thus, in place of repentance we begin to feel remorse. How many people still accuse you of traffic accident you suffered and other things … While I’m talking about the Lord who is using “oil” and “wine” for the cure.

Maybe a lot of things, right now, are bubbling up inside you, but know that they are not for you to accuse yourself, but for healing and deliverance to happen.

The Supreme Love saved and healed us so that we can love. That’s what we want: to be cured for love.

We must take care of our soul to be good people, to our interior reflect our exterior

We have many concerns in the course of life and some of them are: what my son is going to be when he grows up? How do I get a better job? How much weight should I lose? When will I get married? … Anyway, there are so many concerns with the outer life, we don’t have time to figure out what to do with our soul.

Have you ever wondered: am I forgiving? I wonder if I’m talking about really bad people? Am I being a channel of God channel in others’ lives? Am I in love?

Dear reader, taking care of so much of our appearance, we can neglect our salvation. We forget to be good, to have a good heart, to take care to be good people, to reflect on the interior of our outer selves. Should we be concerned with our health, for our family, but we should care most for our soul, because the body perishes, but the soul is eternal.

Think about it.

Your brother,

Qual o verdadeiro significado do escapulárioUnderstand why we should use the scapular and its meaning for the Church

Many people use the scapular for fad or simply because others use it, but what is the true meaning of it?

Many people use the scapular or other objects of devotion without knowing its true meaning, even worse when using it as an amulet, something magical, “lucky”, which frees one from “evil eye” or something similar.

Photo: Daniel Mafra/

As if the true sense didn’t come from the heart of one who wears such object, which, knowing their true meaning, uses it to flag something that is in your heart, in your faith, in his purposes and his conversion. Many use crosses, small medals, rosaries and various scapulars of our Lady of Mount Carmel as a fad, because everyone else is using or that artist used in the novel.

But what is the real meaning of the scapular.

The scapular or bentinho do Carmo is an outward sign of Marian devotion, which consists in consecration to Blessed Virgin Mary, through the inscription in the Carmelite Order, in the hope of your motherly protection. The scapular of Mount Carmel is a sacramental. In the words of Vatican II, “a sacred sign, according to the model of the sacraments, through which means above all spiritual effects, obtained through the intercession of the Church”. (60 SC)

“The devotion of the scapular of Mount Carmel did descend on copious rain of grace world spiritual and temporal”. (Pius XII, 8/6/50).

The devotion to the scapular of our Lady of Mount Carmel began with the vision of St. Simon Stock. According to tradition, the order of Mount Carmel was going through a rough patch between 1230-1250. Newly arrival to Europe as Nomad, expelled by the Muslims of Mount Carmel, the order was going through a critical period. The Carmelite friars met strong resistance from other religious orders for its insertion. They were harassed and even lampooned for their way of dressing. The future of the Carmelites was directed by Simon Stock, man of faith and great devotee of our Lady.

The scapular was an apron used by monks during the work to keep the robe from dirt. Placed over the shoulder blades (shoulders), the scapular is a piece of the habit that even today all carmelites use. Over time, a reduced scapular was given to the lay faithful. In this way, those who wore it could participate in the spirituality of Carmel the great graces connected to it; among other privileges. In his Papal Bull called Sabbath, Pope John XXII States that those who wear the scapular are soon freed the pains of purgatory on Saturday following their death. The advantages of sabatino privilege were still given by the Sacred Congregation of indulgences, on 14 July 1908.

The scapular is made from two fabric squares together by Brown cords, having on one side the image of Our Lady of Mt Caremen, and the Heart of Jesus, or the coat of arms of the order of Carmel. It is a miniature of the Carmelite habit, so it’s a form of clothing. Whoever wears the scapular becomes part of the Carmelite Family and devotes himself to our Lady. Thus, the scapular is a visible sign of our alliance with Mary.

Commitments to those using the scapular

It is important to highlight some attitudes that must be assumed by who is this sign mariano:

• Put God first in your life and always seek to accomplish his will.
• Listen to the word of God in the Bible and practice it in your life.
• Seek communion with God through prayer, which is an intimate dialogue that we have with the one who loves us.
• Be Open to suffering of the neighbor, commiserating with him in his needs, seeking to solutions to them.
• Participate with frequency the sacraments of the Church, the Eucharist and confession, in order to deepen the mystery of Christ in your life.

I was vested with the scapular, on 16 July 1996, when I was in the novitiate of the Canção Nova. That day, I consecrated my affectivity and sexuality in the care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to be able to always put forte the effort and openness of my heart to be worthy to receive the graces of this Holy devotion.
